Our Impact
Call to Action Philanthropies includes the Call Foundation (private) and Call to Action Foundation (private operating), which are dedicated to increasing access to education, affordable housing, and food security for underserved communities throughout the West and Midwest.
Since 2007, the foundations have invested more than $100 million to improve the lives of working families in our region. FJ Management’s subsidiary companies fund the mission of both foundations, including Maverik and Big West Oil.

Our History
In 2007, our founder Crystal Maggelet established the Call Foundation to support Utah students who needed access to higher education and technical training. She believed – and continues to believe – that education is the key to success. Since that time, and together with the Call to Action Foundation, more than $100 million has been invested to help educate students, strengthen communities, and bolster local economies.
